Volunteers in School
Brandlehow is extremely lucky to have a very engaged and involved body of parents and carers.
Families get involved in the life of the school in many ways: baking with classes, helping out with extra-curricular clubs, assisting in book change, giving lifts to competitions and going on school trips, to name but a few. We really value all those who come in to volunteer.
Anyone who regularly volunteers and/or will have sole charge of children will be required to have an up-to-date Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check (formerly called a CRB) carried out through the school office.
Not a parent but want to volunteer?
If you are interested in volunteering at Brandlehow, but you are not a parent or carer, please contact the school at info@brandlehow.wandsworth.sch.uk
Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) checks
You will need to have an up-to-date DBS check (formerly called a CRB) if you are helping regularly in class or will have sole, unsupervised charge of children, for example on a school trip. These disclosure checks take approximately one week and must be done through the school office. You have to have one photo ID (passport or driving licence) and two proof of addresses (gas bill, council tax, etc.).
