Swimming
From Year 4 upwards, the children begin swimming lessons at Putney Leisure Centre. Each year group receives roughly one term of swimming each Friday for 30 minutes. From the first lesson, children will be assigned a group based on ability and confidence.

Swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres (2 laps without feet down, not exhausted at end) |
Use a range of strokes effectively. |
Perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations. |
